Is Spruced really free for homeowners?
Yes — completely free, with no obligation. You agree the work and the price directly with the pro you choose, and Spruced never adds a fee or commission to your job.
How quickly will I hear back?
It depends on your area and how many pros cover it, but many homeowners hear from a local pro within a few hours. You can also message pros directly from your results to get things moving right away.
What areas do you cover?
Towns across East Sussex and Kent — from Hastings, Eastbourne and Lewes to Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury, Maidstone and beyond. Enter your postcode and we'll show local pros who cover it. You can browse them all on our
areas we cover page.
Are the pros insured or DBS checked?
Where a pro holds public-liability insurance or a DBS check, you'll see a badge on their profile. We only show those badges for pros who actually hold them — and it's always worth confirming the details directly with the pro before work begins.
Can I message pros directly?
Yes. After you submit a job you'll see the local pros who match, each with a button to message them on WhatsApp or call them — so you can reach out to whoever you like, straight away.
What if no one gets in touch?
If your area is still light on pros, your request is logged and local pros are alerted as they join. We're adding new independent pros all the time, so it's worth checking back.
What does it cost to get a job done?
That's between you and the pro — rates depend on the job, the area and the pro. We'd always suggest comparing a couple of quotes. Spruced itself never adds a fee or commission to your job.
